Paraguay attracts growing number of Brazilian industries

Paraguay is increasingly becoming a destination for Brazilian industries seeking more favorable business environments. Reports indicate that over 227 Brazilian companies have already established operations in the country, driven by a simple tax regime and less bureaucratic labor relations compared to Brazil.

Paraguayan President Santiago Peña has actively invited Brazilian entrepreneurs to invest in the nation, highlighting Paraguay’s strategic location, competitive taxes, and young population. He emphasized the potential for bilateral growth and the importance of cooperation to navigate international shifts, such as potential agreements with the European Union.

Business leaders, including Marcelo Baiocchi Carneiro of Fecomércio Goiás, have noted that the country’s tax structure fosters productivity and attracts external investment. Additionally, the Chamber of Brazilian Businesspeople in Paraguay reports a steady interest from small and medium-sized enterprises, with 20 to 40 entrepreneurs visiting monthly to explore investment opportunities.
