Paraguay authorities issue safety warnings amid severe weather alerts

Paraguay's Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has issued recommendations to businesses and workers to prevent accidents during severe weather conditions expected to persist through the week. The ministry urged employers to exercise flexibility and tolerance regarding late arrivals caused by heavy rains, flooding, and public transport complications.

To ensure safety, the ministry advised the temporary suspension of high-risk activities, including outdoor work, working at heights, handling metal structures, or performing tasks near electrical installations during wind gusts and lightning storms. The Ministry of Health also advised citizens to remain in safe locations, avoid unnecessary travel during storms, and monitor official weather forecasts to minimize risks.
