Paraguay begins international sanitary audits for meat exports
Paraguay has launched two international technical missions to audit domestic slaughterhouses and meat processing plants. These inspections aim to renew existing export authorizations and approve new facilities for the Chilean and Taiwanese markets.
A mission from Chile’s Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) will conduct field inspections from October 25 to November 12, 2026. Auditors will visit 10 establishments to evaluate conditions for exporting beef and hamburgers to Chile.
Simultaneously, a technical delegation from Taiwan, including representatives from the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency (APHIA) and the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA), will conduct inspections from October 26 to November 5, 2026. This mission focuses on beef and pork products. The auditors will assess facility hygiene, operational conditions, and the official controls implemented by Paraguay’s National Service for Quality and Animal Health (SENACSA).
