Paraguay reports 111 missing minors as one child is found safe in Brazil

An 11-year-old boy who had been missing since last Wednesday in Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay, has been found safe in a Brazilian settlement. The child was located in the Itá Maratí settlement, approximately 50 kilometers from the border, after reports suggested he was working in the area. Following his recovery by the Brazilian Military Police, the minor underwent a medical inspection before being returned to his mother.

Separately, the National Police of Paraguay reported that 111 minors are currently missing in the country. According to Commissioner Ramón Vera, this figure includes 28 children aged 0 to 13 and 83 adolescents aged 14 to 17. Authorities noted that many cases involving adolescents are voluntary departures driven by rebellion or domestic conflicts. The police emphasized that parental responsibility plays a significant role in these situations.
