Paraguay Supreme Court sets date for notary selection

The Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay has scheduled the selection of vacant notary and public scribe positions for October 8. The event will take place at 10:00 AM in the “Dra. Serafina Dávalos” Auditorium at the Palacio de Justicia in Asunción.

As of September 15, there are 94 vacant notary records to be adjudicated, a number that may increase. The selection process is part of the 17th Merit and Opposition Competition for Notaries and Public Scribes. The process follows a written examination held on September 1.

The Examining Tribunal consists of Supreme Court ministers, members of the Civil and Commercial Appeals Court, representatives from various registry agencies, and a tenured professor. The competition is being generally coordinated by attorney Ximena Martínez, with Rita Monges serving as assistant coordinator.
