Paraguayan man left paraplegic after workplace accident; family raises funds for surgery

A 62‑year‑old man in Paraguay suffered a severe spinal injury when a heavy piece of wood fell on his neck while working, leaving him paraplegic. He remains hospitalized at the Hospital de Clínicas.

His family, led by his niece Griselda Colombiano, says the victim needs urgent surgery to restore head movement and speech. They are seeking more than 13 million guaraníes and have organized a raffle costing 15,000 guaraníes to raise the needed funds. The appeal includes a contact phone number for donations.
