Paraguayan Orthopedics Congress begins in Luque

The 20th Paraguayan Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology has commenced at the Conmebol Convention Center in Luque. The three-day event focuses on scientific updates and specialized training within the medical fields of orthopedics and traumatology.

Medical professionals from nine countries—including Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Germany, the United States, Colombia, England, and France—are participating as presenters. Key topics of discussion include the management of rheumatic patients with hip prostheses and the treatment of recurrent hip dislocation.

Dr. Diego Esquivel, in his welcoming remarks, described the program as highly ambitious and rigorous, aimed at addressing complex clinical challenges in operating rooms and clinics to improve patient care standards. Featured speakers include Dr. Rubén Rojas, who will share expertise via social media, and Dr. Flavia Montanía, who will present on the current state of medical residencies in traumatology.
