Paraguayan Police debunk fake viral challenge alert
The National Police of Paraguay have issued a denial regarding a viral social media poster claiming to warn about a challenge called “Disappear for 24 hours.” Authorities clarified that the document, which used the official police logo without authorization, was not an official communication from any specialized department or spokesperson.
While the “Disappear for 48 hours” challenge has been reported in Argentina, the National Police and the Ministry of Children and Adolescence confirmed there have been no recorded incidents or police interventions related to this trend in Paraguay.
Minister of Children and Adolescence, Walter Gutiérrez, noted that while such challenges frequently circulate on platforms like TikTok, no minors in Paraguay have been reported missing in connection to this specific trend. Authorities are currently investigating the unauthorized use of the institutional logo and urge the public to verify information through official channels.
