Paraguayan police to deploy nationwide security for Olimpia vs. Cerro Porteño
The Paraguayan National Police will launch a nationwide security operation to manage the upcoming Superclásico between Club Olimpia and Club Cerro Porteño, with a heavy presence in Asunción and the Central Department. This measure follows previous instances of unrest during the rivalry.
Security protocols will include a multi-stage verification process for spectators. Fans must present physical identity cards, as tickets are strictly nominal. The inspection process involves verifying tickets at the stadium perimeter, followed by entrance controls, sobriety tests, and routine searches in designated security areas.
Ticket distribution reports 18,000 seats allocated for Olimpia supporters across various sectors, while 8,000 seats are designated for Cerro Porteño fans.
