Paraguayan university students debate AI impact on radio

More than 60 audiovisual and communication students in Paraguay participated in an academic debate regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on media, with a specific focus on radio broadcasting.

During the event, titled “Gracias por la radio,” Argentine journalist and producer Horacio Barrios shared his professional experience and discussed the evolution of communication. The discussion centered on whether emerging technologies will serve to complement or replace human labor in the journalistic field. Barrios emphasized radio's role as a cultural bridge and a tool for building social identity.
