Paramaribo police investigate death of 15-year-old girl

An investigation has been launched following the death of a 15-year-old girl at a residence on Recifestraat in Paramaribo, Suriname. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 13, during an intimate encounter with her 15-year-old boyfriend.

Reports indicate the teenager experienced sudden respiratory distress and heavy bleeding during the encounter. Her companion attempted to assist her by moving her to an air-conditioned room, but she lost consciousness and passed away shortly after. A physician at the scene officially confirmed her death.

The Munder police responded to the scene, and the Public Prosecution Service has ordered the seizure of the body for a forensic examination to determine the exact cause of death. The boy has been taken to the police station for questioning but has not been designated as a suspect. Forensic investigators and the detective service are currently working to secure evidence and camera footage related to the incident.
