Paramount+ expands content with A24 acquisitions and October lineup

Paramount+ A24 streaming services content acquisition original series

Paramount+ is expanding its content library through both new acquisitions and seasonal programming. The streaming service has secured U.S. and select international rights to three original series produced by A24: the comedy ‘It Gets Worse’, the coming-of-age drama ‘Major Players’, and the fantasy adaptation ‘The Ministry of Time’.

In addition to these acquisitions, the platform is preparing for a heavy October 2026 schedule. This includes a significant horror lineup featuring titles such as ‘Dr. Sleep’, ‘Drag Me to Hell’, and various ‘Scream’ and ‘Friday the 13th’ films. The scripted television slate also features the return of ‘Tulsa King’ for its fourth season, the premiere of the animated series ‘Avatar: Seven Havens’, and the second season of ‘Dexter: Resurrection’.

Other notable upcoming releases on the platform include the legal drama ‘Cupertino’, a new CBS series set in Silicon Valley.
