Paramount+ Announces Average Joe Season 2 Premiere on Aug. 19

Paramount+ released the official trailer for the second season of the dark comedy‑drama series *Average Joe*. The eight‑episode season will debut globally on Wednesday, August 19, with the first two episodes launching together and subsequent episodes released weekly.

The show returns starring Deon Cole as plumber‑turned‑hero Joe Washington, who now travels to Cape Town, South Africa, after a new threat targets his family. New characters include Katlego Lebogang as Imani and Hakeem Kae‑Kazim as crime boss Sipho. Executive producers include Robb Cullen, Deon Cole, Eric Dean Seaton, Tyrone Finch and Rose Catherine Pinkney.

The plot continues the fallout from the first season’s Russian‑mafia storyline, promising more action, international criminals and high‑stakes adventure against the backdrop of South Africa’s Cape Town.
