Paramount+ begins production on legal thriller ‘Discretion’

Paramount+ has commenced production on ‘Discretion’, an eight-episode legal thriller set to premiere globally in 2027. Produced by A24, the series is adapted from a short story by New York Times bestselling author Chandler Baker, who also serves as writer and executive producer.

The cast features Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, and Josh Lucas. Recent additions to the ensemble include Stephan James, playing a corporate associate named Logan, and Colton Ryan, portraying Boone, a recovering addict from an affluent Dallas family.

The plot follows Lenny (Fanning), a summer associate at a prestigious Dallas law firm, who uncovers a web of non-disclosure agreements masking a dark truth. Her discoveries place her in conflict with the firm’s powerful partner, Sharon (Kidman), challenging their mentor-protégé relationship.
