Paramount+ casts new members for 9/11 drama ‘The Best of Us’

Neal Huff, Gaby Hoffmann, and Sky Yang have joined the cast of ‘The Best of Us’, an upcoming six-episode limited series for Paramount+. Formerly titled ‘9/12’, the production dramatizes the legal battle to secure nearly $1 billion in compensation for first responders who fell ill following the September 11 attacks.

The series features Jeremy Strong as class action lawyer Jason Smith, alongside Andrea Riseborough and Barry Pepper. The new cast additions include Huff as Peter Allen, a pragmatic colleague at a law firm; Hoffmann as Kathleen McCormick, an FDNY firefighter and activist; and Yang as ‘The Lost Son’, a mysterious young man.

Written and directed by Tobias Lindholm, the series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and SISTER. It aims to depict the decade-long struggle for accountability against corruption and institutional greed in the wake of the World Trade Center collapse.
