Paramount+ launches Australian drama series Dalliance

Paramount+ has launched ‘Dalliance’, a new Australian original drama series centered on a group of friends in their 60s. The six-episode series premiered on August 27, 2026, and features an ensemble cast including Hugo Weaving, Heather Mitchell, Georgie Parker, and David Wenham.

Set against the backdrop of Sydney, the story follows retired cameraman Billy, played by Weaving, whose connection with chef Dani, played by Mitchell, triggers a series of events that impact their lifelong circle of friends. The narrative explores themes of love, jealousy, betrayal, and the complexities of maintaining long-term friendships and relationships during later life.

The series was written by Pip Karmel and directed by Emma Jackson. Creators and cast members have noted that the show aims to portray women in their 60s as characters defined by their future possibilities rather than just their past achievements.
