Paramount Pictures develops sequel to The Italian Job

Paramount Pictures is officially developing a sequel to the 2003 film ‘The Italian Job’. Director Paul Feig is currently in talks to helm the project, and a writers’ room is being assembled to begin development.

This new project is intended as a successor to the previous film rather than a direct remake of the 2003 version. While the original 2003 film featured stars such as Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, and Jason Statham, no cast members have been confirmed for this new installment.

The franchise is historically linked to the Mini Cooper brand, which gained significant cultural status through the 1969 original and the 2003 remake. There is currently no confirmed script, timeline, or official involvement from MINI announced for the production.
