Paramount+ renews 'Dutton Ranch' for Season 2, taps Benjamin Cavell as showrunner

Paramount+ announced that the Yellowstone spinoff "Dutton Ranch" has been renewed for a second season. The series set a streaming record with 12.9 million global viewers in its first week, the biggest original series launch in the platform’s history.

Benjamin Cavell, creator of the series "SEAL Team" and former writer‑producer on "Justified," will take over as executive producer and showrunner for Season 2, replacing series creator Chad Feehan, who left before the premiere. The renewed season will continue to follow characters Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as they navigate new challenges beyond the Montana setting.

Executive producers include Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Cavell, and other partners at Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. The renewal underscores Paramount+’s strategy to expand the Yellowstone universe.
