Paramount Sets Brazil Release Date for Fantasy Film “Filhos de Sangue e Osso”
Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for the film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s fantasy novel *Filhos de Sangue e Osso*. The movie, directed by Gina Prince‑Bythewood, stars South‑African actress Thuso Mbedu as Zélie Adebola, with Viola Davis, Idris Elba and other supporting cast members. The trailer depicts Zélie’s struggle to restore magic to the kingdom of Orïsha and the conflict with the ruling monarchy.
Paramount confirmed that the film will open in Brazilian cinemas on 14 January 2027, one day before the scheduled U.S. premiere. The announcement was made by Paramount Pictures Brasil, establishing the local theatrical window for the highly anticipated adaptation of the bestselling *Legacy of Orïsha* trilogy.
