Paramount+ unveils Diarra From Detroit Season 2 trailer

Paramount+ released the first trailer for the second season of the crime‑comedy series Diarra From Detroit. The eight‑episode season premieres on July 29, 2026, with the first two episodes launching together and subsequent episodes airing each Wednesday through September 9.

The new storyline follows Diarra Kilpatrick’s Detroit‑based amateur detective as a routine furniture‑recovery job pulls her into a grisly crime, leading her to infiltrate a secret society, hunt for buried treasure, and juggle a complicated love life. The trailer highlights higher stakes, undercover action, and the series’ trademark blend of suspense and humor.

Creator, writer and star Diarra Kilpatrick returns, joined by regulars DomiNque Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark, Jon Chaffin, Shannon Wallace, Phylicia Rashad and Harry Lennix. Guest stars include Method Man, Morris Chestnut, Glynn Turman, Bokeem Woodbine, Amber Riley, Lil Rel Howery, Lovie Simone and others. Produced by BET Studios and Khalabo Ink Society, the show moved from BET+ to Paramount+ after BET+ closed in June and has earned critical acclaim and multiple NAACP Image and Independent Spirit Award nominations.
