Paramount+ Sets July 29 Premiere for Season 2 of ‘Diarra From Detroit’

Paramount+ confirmed that the second season of the comedy‑drama series ‘Diarra From Detroit’ will launch on July 29, 2026. The eight‑episode season will debut with two episodes and then continue with a new episode each Wednesday, concluding on September 9.

The show, created, written, starred and executive‑produced by Diarra Kilpatrick, returns with its core cast—including DomiNque Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark, Jon Chaffin, Shannon Wallace, Phylicia Rashad and Harry Lennix—and adds a slate of guest stars such as Method Man, Morris Chestnut, Glynn Turman, Bokeem Woodbine, Amber Riley, Lil Rel Howery, Lovie Simone, Skilla Baby and Icewear Vezzo. Executive producers also include Kenya Barris and Miles Orion Feldsott, with production by BET Studios and Khalabo Ink Society.

The series, set in Detroit and praised for its blend of suspense and humor, earned critical acclaim during its first season, receiving NAACP Image and Independent Spirit Award nominations and a Gracie Award for Kilpatrick. A trailer released alongside the announcement highlights higher stakes, a secret society subplot and a new mystery involving buried treasure.
