Paraná Agribusiness Gains $460M Funding and New Egg Megaincubator

The Paraná state government-backed FIDC Agro Paraná fund is allocating R$460 million to expand credit for local producers, offering lower‑interest loans and reducing reliance on traditional Safra program lines. The initiative targets cooperatives such as Frivatti Industrial, Pluma Agroavícola and Primato Cooperativa Agroindustrial, aiming to modernise farms, build infrastructure and create jobs in the region.

At the same time, Grupo Pluma is investing R$120 million in a megaincubator at São Jorge do Patrocínio. The facility will raise egg‑incubation capacity to more than 125 million fertile eggs per month – about 1.5 billion per year – and is expected to create 100 direct jobs. The incubator uses automated, bio‑secure technology and will support the company’s existing network that supplies poultry genetics across Brazil and exports to markets such as Mexico, Paraguay, Africa and the Middle East.
