Paraná economy hits records in agribusiness and industry

The state of Paraná has reached significant economic milestones in both the agribusiness and industrial sectors. The Gross Agricultural Production Value (VBP) hit a record R$ 213 billion in 2025, representing a 9% real growth compared to 2024. Livestock led this sector with R$ 112.1 billion, accounting for 53% of the total, while agricultural activities like grains and fruits contributed R$ 91.2 billion.

Simultaneously, the industrial sector reached a historic high, with its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) hitting R$ 184 billion in 2025. This 3.3% increase from the previous year is attributed to private investment and technological modernization. The industrial sector now represents 24.1% of the state's total wealth.

In terms of financing, BNDES approved R$ 1.3 billion in credit for Paraná's production cooperatives during the first half of 2026. Notable investments include R$ 500 million for Coamo to build an ethanol plant and R$ 37 million for Copacol to expand grain storage capacity. Additionally, industry events like Expo+Indústria 2026 are focusing on increasing competitiveness through innovation and digital ecosystems.
