Paraná agriculture reaches record R$ 213 billion in 2025

Paraná's agricultural sector reached a record Gross Agricultural Production Value (VBP) of R$ 213.06 billion in 2025, according to data from the Department of Rural Economy (Deral) and the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab). This represents a 13% increase over the R$ 188.3 billion recorded in 2024, with a real growth of 9% when adjusted for inflation.

The state's economic strength is driven by a balance of grain and protein production. Livestock production accounted for R$ 112.1 billion, representing 53% of the total VBP. Within the grain sector, soybean production rose to 21.4 million tons, generating R$ 42.3 billion, while corn production reached approximately 21 million tons, contributing R$ 19.1 billion.

Regionally, the West region led the state with R$ 48.25 billion. The Matelândia regional area, comprising 47 municipalities, holds the top position in the state's agricultural value. Among municipalities, Toledo recorded the highest VBP at R$ 5.16 billion.
