Paraná and Ceará report growth in international tourism

Brazilian states Paraná and Ceará have reported significant growth in international tourism during the first nine months of the year.

Paraná received over 717,000 foreign tourists between January and September, accounting for approximately 10% of Brazil's total international arrivals. The state ranks as the fourth largest international entry point in the country. The majority of these visitors arrived via land, with Paraguay (304,000) and Argentina (over 205,000) being the primary sources of travelers.

Ceará recorded 97,600 international tourists during the same nine-month period, marking a 23% increase compared to the previous year. Local authorities noted that this influx is driving economic development and job creation across the hospitality, gastronomy, and transport sectors within the state.
