Paraná announces infrastructure investments in Balsa Nova and Francisco Beltrão
The state government of Paraná has announced significant infrastructure investments for two different municipalities. In Balsa Nova, a R$ 10.5 million agreement was signed for the revitalization and urbanization of the São Luiz do Purunã district. The project includes asphalt recovery in the central area, improved drainage, modernized public lighting, landscaping, and the construction of accessible sidewalks. This initiative aims to bolster the region's growing rural tourism and gastronomy sectors.
In Francisco Beltrão, R$ 15.3 million has been authorized for macro-drainage works on the Lonqueador River. Funded through the Novo PAC program, with R$ 14 million provided by Caixa Econômica Federal, the project includes the construction of a 35,000 m³ containment basin to prevent flooding. The works will also involve expanding bridges and improving riverbanks to enhance urban resilience during heavy rainfall.
