Paraná, Argentina: Federal Fiscal Council approves 2024 budget closure and sets multi‑year fiscal plan
The Federal Council of Fiscal Responsibility and Good Government met in Paraná, Entre Ríos, chaired by national Economy Minister Luis Caputo and attended by Governor Rogelio Frigerio and provincial finance minister Héctor Grachot. The council approved the 2024 fiscal‑year closure, the 2026 budget, and multi‑annual fiscal projections for 2026‑2028, as well as the 2025 investment report. Discussions included proposals to lower provincial taxes, eliminate certain municipal fees and create a new federal fiscal agreement.
In a separate meeting in Avellaneda, mayor Gonzalo Braidot received national ministers of Government and Public Innovation, Development Productive, and Labour to promote productive and industrial projects. The officials highlighted irrigation initiatives in General Obligado, public‑private collaboration, technology adoption and investment to strengthen regional production.
