Paraná authorities deploy underwater scanner to find missing man

Search operations for a 49-year-old man who disappeared in the São Francisco Resettlement Lake in western Paraná have been intensified. Following three days of unsuccessful searches involving divers, boats, and a military police helicopter, authorities are deploying a specialized scanner sent by the Curitiba Fire Department.

The scanner features a special camera designed to visualize deep areas of the lake, which may assist in locating the man. Previous efforts by divers were hindered by difficult conditions, including low water temperatures of approximately 12°C and the complex characteristics of the lake floor.
