Paraná authorities detain two men for the homicide of architect Rodolfo Bassi
Two laborers, Carlos Gastón Aguilar (48) and Claudio Ramón Inofre (52), have been formally charged with the aggravated homicide of architect Rodolfo Augusto Bassi in Paraná, Argentina. The charges include homicide committed with treachery and 'criminis causa'.
Prosecutors allege the crime was a planned robbery. Aguilar, who worked as a trusted maintenance worker for the victim, and Inofre are suspected of attacking Bassi and fleeing on the victim's motorcycle to another property on Dupuy Street to steal money. Investigators recovered the motorcycle at the home of an associate of the suspects.
Following the hearing before Judge Jorge Sueldo, both men were ordered into 45-day preventive detention at the Unidad Penal N° 1 of Paraná. Aguilar was apprehended in the Bajada Grande area, while Inofre was intercepted by police on National Route 127 after attempting to flee via long-distance bus toward Misiones province.
