Paraná authorities implement urban infrastructure and land recovery projects
The Municipality of Paraná has undertaken several urban and environmental interventions to improve infrastructure and public space management in the city.
In the Ibicuy neighborhood, residents collaborated with municipal workers to complete a drainage project. After heavy rains rendered local streets impassable, the community provided materials such as sand, stone, cement, and bricks, while the municipality donated pipes and provided heavy machinery. The new hydraulic connection to a storm drain prevents water from flooding the roadway, which previously blocked emergency services like ambulances and police patrols.
Additionally, authorities conducted an operation to recover public land near the Las Viejas Stream. Supported by the Police of Entre Ríos, officials demolished an unauthorized construction on a site designated for the integral recovery of the stream. This project aims to combine hydraulic infrastructure and environmental sanitation to improve water runoff, reduce flooding, and create new public spaces for the community.
