Paraná, Brazil sees two separate residential fire incidents

Two unrelated residential fires occurred in the state of Paraná. In Apucarana, a man locked himself inside his home after a neighbourhood dispute and the house was set ablaze by locals. Police and firefighters contained the blaze, reporting only material damage to a bed and a wardrobe and no injuries.

In Irati, a 73‑year‑old woman died when an oxygen device allegedly exploded, engulfing her home in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire but found the woman dead in the bedroom. The Civil Police opened an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.
