Paraná bus services face disruptions following staff changes

In Paraná, the municipal Secretary of Road Safety, Mobility, and Urban Planning, Kevin Bolzán, reported service disruptions in the public bus system following the decision by concessionaire San José SA to terminate the contracts of 20 workers. The company is currently training and testing new drivers from other firms to replace those lost, a transition that has impacted service frequency, particularly during off-peak hours.

Bolzán stated that the municipality is strictly monitoring service compliance and has issued orders to the company to restore service in affected areas, noting that failure to do so may result in economic sanctions. The official clarified that while the municipality oversees service quality, it does not interfere in private corporate decisions regarding hiring and firing.
