Paraná Clube to honor femicide victim with jersey message

Paraná Clube will honor Diessy Marry de Souza Vaz during its upcoming match against FC Cascavel. The football club's players will wear special seals on the front of their jerseys featuring the phrase “ATÉ QUANDO?” (Until when?).

Diessy, the sister of the club's football supervisor Rodrigo Vaz, was killed in Fazenda Rio Grande, in the Curitiba metropolitan area. The primary suspect is her partner, who was arrested the morning after the crime. Reports indicate the suspect had a prior arrest record for assaulting the victim and was wearing an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet at the time of the murder.

The club's initiative serves as both a tribute to the victim and a demand for justice. Through the message on their kits, Paraná Clube aims to raise awareness regarding violence against women and question the effectiveness of current protection mechanisms and public responses to domestic violence.
