Detran-PR announces new public contest and social programs

The Paraná State Transit Department (Detran-PR) has announced several administrative and social initiatives. The agency is preparing a public contest for 100 positions, including 94 Traffic Agents and 6 Analysts. This marks the first major recruitment drive for the department in over 20 years, with vacancies distributed between Curitiba and various interior municipalities. The selection process will be managed by Fundaseg.

In social programs, the CNH Social initiative has already provided free driver's licenses to 278 residents in Paraná, with over 2,000 more currently undergoing various stages of the licensing process. Additionally, Detran-PR has implemented mandatory toxicological testing for first-time applicants of motorcycle and car categories to enhance road safety.

To support these operations, the agency has also launched a training course for 82 employees in Curitiba to strengthen traffic enforcement capabilities. The program aims to train up to 600 professionals in the coming years to assist law enforcement and improve regional transit security.
