Paraná coffee producers gain recognition through certifications and competitions

The coffee industry in Paraná is seeing increased recognition and activity. In Mandaguari, located in northern Paraná, coffee beans have received geographical indication certification for 2025, attracting producers focused on specialty coffees.

In conjunction with this regional growth, the 24th edition of the Café Qualidade Paraná competition is now accepting registrations. Producers with proven coffee activities in the state can apply for free until September 30 through IDR-Paraná municipal units. The competition features categories for Natural Coffee and Peeled or Depulped Cherry Coffee, with an awards ceremony scheduled for November 17 at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Curitiba.
