Paraná Court Marks First All‑Female Session and Orders Statization of Londrina Family Court

The Tribunal de Justiça do Paraná (TJPR) held a historic session in its 6th Criminal Chamber that was judged entirely by women. The session was presided over by Desembargadora Fabiane Pieruccini, marking the first all‑female composition in the court’s 135‑year history.

In a separate ruling, the TJPR under Desembargadora Lidia Maejima ordered the statization of the 1ª Vara de Família of the Central Forum in the Metropolitan Region of Londrina. Effective 31 July 2026, the unit will be renamed the 1ª Secretaria de Família, following a recommendation from the Conselho Nacional de Justiça (CNJ). The transition includes staff training, migration of case data from the private Cartório Win system to the institutional Cível Papel system, and the continuation of public service without interruption. The decision also revokes the interim appointment of Celia Garcia da Silva.
