Paraná Education Authority Launches Teacher Hiring Process and Youth Protagonist Forum

The State Secretariat of Education of Paraná (Seed-PR) has opened registrations for the Simplified Selection Process (PSS) to hire temporary teachers and pedagogues for the state public school system. The edital nº 52/2026 was republished on 27 July, with applications accepted until 24 August. Candidates must pre‑register on the PSS system and can submit up to two applications covering basic and professional education, selecting up to two municipalities within the same Regional Education Nucleus. Exams will be held on 18 October, with results announced on 27 November. Salaries are R$ 3 495.55 for 20‑hour weeks and R$ 6 991.10 for 40‑hour weeks.

Separately, Seed-PR is hosting the V Encontro Paranaense de Jovens Protagonistas in Foz do Iguaçu until 2 May. The three‑day event gathers 910 participants—681 students and the rest teachers, directors and pedagogues—from the Programa Paraná Integral. Activities include workshops and lectures aimed at strengthening youth leadership and involvement in school life. Organizers highlight the tripling of student slots this year, with 618 youngsters attending in person.
