Alan Rick leads Acre gubernatorial polls amid diploma challenge

In the race for the governorship of Acre, IPSensus polling indicates that Senator Alan Rick (Republicanos) is leading with 38.1% of the vote, ahead of incumbent Governor Mailza Assis (Progressistas), who holds 29.4%. In a simulated second-round runoff, Alan Rick would reach 45.3% against Assis's 39.4%.

Adding to the political tension, Alan Rick has formally requested that the Institute of Social and Human Sciences (ICSH) verify the authenticity of Governor Mailza Assis's pedagogy diploma within 48 hours. Rick cited “foundational and relevant inconsistencies” in the document, noting a discrepancy between her 2022 filing of high school completion and her 2026 filing of a higher education degree.

Meanwhile, Alan Rick has maintained active campaigning, holding large rallies and car caravans in regions such as Cruzeiro do Sul, Brasiléia, and Epitaciolândia.
