Paraná highway concessions to modernize infrastructure and support agribusiness

New road concession contracts in Paraná are set to modernize the state's highway infrastructure, focusing on 1,762 km of duplications and 138 km of bypasses. These improvements aim to support the agribusiness sector, particularly in the North and West regions, which are vital for Brazil's grain production.

Via Campo is managing 433 km of federal and state highways, including the BR-369 and BR-163, with a planned investment of R$ 11.8 billion over 30 years. The company is expected to deliver 238 km of dual carriageways between Guaíra, Cascavel, and Maringá.

Other concessionaires involved include EPR Iguaçu, EPR Paraná, Motiva, EPR Litoral Pioneiro, and Via Araucária. The contracts include a tariff reclassification mechanism where toll prices may increase once specific works, such as duplications or bypasses, are completed. For example, a duplication can trigger a 40% increase in the basic tariff for the affected section.
