Paraná highway duplication project reaches 24 percent completion

PR-412 highway DER/PR road construction Paraná infrastructure investment

The Paraná Department of Highways (DER/PR) reports that the concrete duplication of the PR-412 highway between Matinhos and Pontal do Paraná has reached 24.22 percent execution. To date, the investment in the project totals R$ 66,504,842.09.

Work is currently focused on a 14.28 kilometer stretch, with significant progress made in the drainage system, which is over 50 percent complete. Construction includes new marginal roads, earthmoving, and the installation of asphalt layers. Additionally, work is progressing on a new viaduct over Avenida Curitiba and new bridges over the Matinhos Canal and Rio Balneário.

The project, which includes sidewalks, bike lanes, and improved lighting, is scheduled for completion in March 2028.
