Paraná highways see multiple vehicle collisions
Multiple traffic accidents occurred on highways in the state of Paraná, Brazil. On the PR-151 highway near Ponta Grossa, two separate collisions took place at kilometer 337. The first involved a truck and a car, resulting in minor injuries to a 30-year-old driver. Approximately 40 minutes later, a second accident involving four vehicles occurred at the same location due to sudden braking, leaving one 54-year-old passenger with minor injuries.
In a separate incident on the BR-277 highway in Palmeira, a major collision involving at least nine vehicles occurred near kilometer 175. The accident caused a total blockage of the highway in both directions and impacted traffic near the Porto Amazonas toll plaza. Emergency services, including Samu and Via Araucária, were deployed to the scene. The highway was subsequently reopened to traffic after the incident was managed.
