Paraná implements special school meals for 1,300 students

The state government of Paraná is implementing an inclusive school meal program to serve approximately 1,300 students with specific dietary needs. The initiative provides specialized menus that are gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan.

The procurement process for these products is currently in the ratification phase following the publication of Notice No. 669/2026 by the Paranaense Institute for Educational Development (Fundepar). Once finalized, the state will determine the exact quantities required based on student demand across various regions.

To ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination, special meals will be delivered frozen and must be stored and prepared separately from conventional school meals. Schools will receive dedicated equipment, such as freezers and air fryers, to manage these specific dietary requirements. The planned menu includes items such as rice, beans, vegetables, proteins, pasta, potato puree, and risotto, as well as snacks like cakes, sandwiches, and savory pies.
