Paraná invests in traffic signaling and coastal infrastructure

The state of Paraná is implementing two major infrastructure projects. Through the Sinaliza Paraná program, the State Transit Department (Detran-PR) is installing over 33,000 traffic signs across 167 municipalities between 2023 and 2027. In the Southwest region, several cities including Vitorino, Barracão, and Enéas Marques have already received or are undergoing services. The total updated investment for the program is approximately R$ 69 million, funded by the National Fund for Traffic Safety and Education (Funset).

Separately, the State Secretariat for Sustainable Development (Sedest), via the Water and Land Institute (IAT), is preparing to install 23 floating structures in the coastal regions of Paranaguá and Guaraqueçaba. This R$ 30.9 million project is funded by a judicial adjustment agreement related to Petrobras. The platforms aim to support environmental conservation, improve access for traditional communities, facilitate public services, and enhance environmental monitoring within protected conservation units.
