Brazilian governors-elect initiate government transition processes
Several governors-elect in Brazil have begun formalizing their transition teams and administrative priorities for the 2027 term.
In Paraná, Governor Ratinho Junior signed a decree regulating the transition to the incoming administration of Sergio Moro. The process, scheduled to run from November 5 to January 5, 2027, involves a 20-member commission to ensure transparency and the continuity of public services through the sharing of financial and organizational data.
In Tocantins, Vicentinho Júnior (PSDB) has submitted a nine-member transition team to the State Civil House. The team aims to conduct a detailed diagnostic of the state's administrative, financial, and budgetary status to prepare for his inauguration on January 6, 2027.
In Espírito Santo, Lorenzo Pazolini has appointed Erick Musso as transition coordinator and Regis Mattos as a key member. Pazolini's priorities include decentralizing healthcare, duplicating the BR-262 highway, and integrating municipal guards into the Ciodes security system.
In Rio Grande do Sul, Luciano Zucco (PL) announced his first cabinet members, including Mauro Sinott Lopes, a retired Army Division General, to lead the Public Security Secretariat.
