Paraná Military Police honored in Curitiba for child rescue

The Military Police of Paraná (PMPR) has been awarded the Comenda da Ordem Municipal da Luz dos Pinhais, the highest honor granted by the City of Curitiba. The recognition was presented during a ceremony at the Ópera de Arame, attended by Mayor Eduardo Pimentel and various state and municipal authorities.

The award honors the police force for their actions on October 9, during an incident at the São Braz Municipal Early Childhood Education Center (CMEI), where officers successfully rescued 13 children during a hostage situation. Colonel Alexandre Lopes Dias received the commendation on behalf of the participating officers.
