Paraná municipalities invest over R$3 million in public space upgrades

The municipality of Alto Paraná in Brazil will begin a R$3.45 million revitalisation of Praça Rui Barbosa next week. The project, largely funded by the state government through deputies Beto Preto and Do Carmo, will add a society‑football field, beach‑tennis and sand courts, a playground, outdoor gym, pet area, event stage, kiosk with restrooms and extensive landscaping.

Meanwhile, the city of Curitiba has started asphalt‑replacement works on five kilometres of streets across the Água Verde, Portão, Fazendinha and Santa Quitéria neighbourhoods. Beginning on 8 June, the works will involve partial lane closures and are scheduled for completion on 5 July. Drivers are advised to follow traffic officers’ directions during the phased construction.
