Paraná police capture convicted rapist and investigate farm robbery
Police from the 11th Independent Company of the Military Police captured a man convicted of more than 21 years in prison for sexual assault of a minor, coersion and threat. The fugitive was found operating a tractor near km 35 of PR‑536 in Cambé, Paraná, on Tuesday, April 4. After confirming two outstanding arrest warrants, officers placed him in the Cambé public jail.
Earlier in the week, a 66‑year‑old farmer in Apucarana, Paraná, was tied up and robbed while milking cows on his farm. Two armed men stole his 2011 Toyota Corolla, a cellphone, and a small amount of cash, then fled. The victim escaped, sought help from a neighbor, and alerted police. The suspects remain at large and are being investigated.
