Paraná posts 7.9% rise in consórcio sales and ranks second in Brazil for street races

In 2025 the Brazilian state of Paraná recorded a 7.9% increase in consórcio quota sales, with more than 405,000 units sold and a total of 1,141,624 active participants. The sector generated R$ 6.37 billion in credits through May 2026, a 47.7% rise over the same period in 2025, driven by demand from entrepreneurs and autonomous professionals seeking predictable financing.

The same year, Paraná emerged as the second‑largest host of street‑running events in Brazil, staging 645 races – only behind São Paulo’s 1,311. Nationwide, official road‑race competitions grew 85% to 5,241 events in 2025. Corporate initiatives such as the Smile Movement, linked to the Straumann group’s Neodent unit, turned kilometres run by participants into donations for global oral‑health projects, highlighting the sport’s growing social impact.
