Paraná power outages persist following severe storms
Approximately 11,000 customers in Paraná remain without electricity following severe storms that brought heavy winds, lightning, and rain to the region. At the height of the weather event, nearly 180,000 consumers were affected across the state.
The storm caused significant infrastructure damage, including downed trees, broken power lines, and damaged utility poles. In the Vale do Ivaí region, nearly 1,000 residences across 18 cities—including Ivaiporã, Manoel Ribas, and Arapuã—are still without power. Some municipalities in this area experienced total blackouts during the peak of the storm.
Copel has deployed approximately 130 professionals to work continuously on repairs and network recomposition. The highest concentration of outages is currently located in the Campos Gerais and Centro-Sul regions, followed by the Northwest and North regions.
