Paraná Rowing Club to renovate semi-Olympic swimming pool

The Paraná Rowing Club has announced a comprehensive renovation of its semi-Olympic swimming pool at its Central Headquarters in Entre Ríos, Argentina. The project is scheduled to begin on August 30 and is expected to take approximately 70 days to complete.

A major technical highlight of the renovation is the implementation of an automated saline chlorination system, which will be the first of its kind in the province. This technology will replace traditional chlorine to provide more stable and controlled disinfection. Additionally, the pool's depth will be unified to 1.50 meters using brick cells and compacted sand, a move designed to reduce water volume and lower energy and gas consumption for heating.

Other planned upgrades include the installation of a Finnish edge for continuous water overflow, a complete renewal of the hydraulic system, and the application of high-resistance Venetian-style PVC mosaics for the walls and floors. During the construction period, aquatic activities will be relocated to the heated pool at the Yarará Headquarters, while the medium-sized pool at the Central Headquarters remains available.
